Chai Spiced Sugar Cookies

These delicious, soft and chewy cookies are coated with warm and aromatic Chai Spiced Sugar.

- ½ cup salted butter, softened
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- ½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon cream of tartar
- pinch salt
- 2 tablespoons Chai Spiced Sugar Little Sioux Kitchen
In a large bowl, beat butter with granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Then beat in the egg and vanilla.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cream of tartar and salt. Slowly add this mixture to the butter mixture, beating until just combined.
In a small bowl, add the Chai Spiced Sugar. Form the prepared cookie dough into 1-inch sized balls and roll in the Chai Spiced Sugar to evenly coat. Place them in a wax paper lined container. Cover and refrigerate for one hour.
Preheat oven to 375℉. Bake on middle rack, spaced a couple inches apart, for 10-12 minutes or until bottoms are golden brown. Remove from pan and cool on cooling rack.
